About

Hi, I’m gara
Graduated as an electrical engineer. 4+ years as agency PM handling multiple clients across different domains. Now I am having fun trying to navigate the token limit of my Claude subscription in order to write one more line to fix the build error.
This is My Story
I used to not care about AI. One day I sat in front of my old PC in my room and watched an episode of DOAC podcast from Steven Bartlett. The episode features Geoffrey Hinton, the Godfather of AI, and he talks about the deadly dangers of AI no one is prepared for. He said the only safe job is to become a plumber. Well, since I don’t have the skill to become a plumber, I became curious and decided to learn more about AI. If it’s so capable and smart, surely there is something that i can do and learn to wield its power for my own use.
And that is exactly what this site is about. I will capture and share my journey of using AI to solve my problems. Whether in work, learning, money, fitness or in any matter of my life. Every essay on this blog is a system i personally built and use. I don’t write AI commentary or tool review, and you won’t find “9 prompts to make more money” here.
In my school days, I like taking notes and write my thoughts as i study the subject. I try to write as if I explained it to my future self. It’s become a litmus test for whether I truly understand this. I want to write and share what I thought and learned about building systems with AI.
In every system or workflow, I try to ask “how does this change when an AI agent is part of the loop”. There are 2 rules that i set for my blog. Every post is from a system I built or run myself. I will explain my thinking, why I do what I do, how I ask the LLM to do what I want, and what I learned from that. The AI part is real, not bolted on. I will use AI to build my app or workflow. If an agent isn’t meaningfully part of the loop, it doesn’t belong here. Right now that means detailed and multiple writing about my agency PM work. How to make my day to day job and life easier and with better quality.
Anyone that would like to read essays from inside the loop, rather than on the sideline. PMs or operators who want to see how AI can change their day to day work. Builders interested in AI and want to have inspiration on how AI can help solve their problem. If that’s you, the newsletter is the best place to start. One essay at a time. No recap threads. No AI commentary or “5 prompts that will change your life.”
I am based in Jakarta, Indonesia. I love mystery movies and strategy games. Somehow looking at numbers while playing Football Manager is enough to make me lose sleep. I also spent hours building systems and workflows. Sometimes that turned out as I expected, but sometimes that turned out junk. Too complex for their own good. Too fancy for such marginal gain. Created systems that i had to dump days later. And all of that has a place here.
If you are someone that is curious how AI can solve your problems. If you built something agentic and want to compare notes. If you have ideas, systems, and AI topics you want to share with me, please drop a message. I want to learn from you. Inbox is open.
Disclaimer: I write these posts myself. I use AI as a thinking partner: to brainstorm topics, sharpen outlines, suggest structure, and edit drafts. The sentences are mine. If I do have posts that are mainly written by AI, I will clearly state that at the beginning of said post.
